What is the Gables Guitar Studio?

The Gables Guitar Studio is a state of the art learning environment that affords students every opportunity to excel as they learn to play the guitar. The Studio offers students a spacious and comfortable lesson room in which to explore music and develop proper playing techniques. Besides creating a distraction-free environment that promotes proper focus on learning, the studio is also fully equipped with all the necessary instruments and teaching tools that make it the ideal environment to learn guitar. Gables Guitar Studio is located at 2526 Ponce de Leon Blvd Suite 285 – right in the heart of Coral Gables.

How do I book a lesson?

To book lessons or to set up a time to tour the studio, call Brian at (305)582-6881. When you are ready to book Your lesson we will set up a recurring time slot and payment plan that works for you.

How do I pay for my lesson?

We accept Cash, Check, Venmo, and Cash App.

How long are the lessons?

We offer 30-minute lessons and 60-minute lessons. We strongly recommend students attend one hour lessons on a weekly basis. Sixty minutes is the classic model for musical instruction with enough time for students and instructors to review what the student has been practicing, look at new musical material, discuss the new material, and setup a plan to practice the new material over the next seven days.

Don’t think you can squeeze a 60-minute lesson into your busy week?. Not to worry. We now offer 30-minute guitar lessons. Obviously we can’t accomplish as much in 30-minutes as in an entire hour. But with the support of diligent at-home practice, highly self-motivated students can make good progress with 30-minutes of highly-focused instruction each week.

Not sure whether 60-minutes or 30-minutes are right for you? Give us a call and we can help determine the right amount of lesson time that fits your preferred learning style.

What equipment do I need to bring to my guitar or bass lessons?

If you are most comfortable playing your own instrument, we encourage you to bring it with you to your lesson. But, if you don’t want to lug your guitar around through your busy day, don’t worry: It is NOT necessary to bring ANY equipment to your lesson. The Gables Guitar Studio is fully equipped with a variety of different guitars (electric, acoustic & classical) any of which a student may use during their lesson. We also have plenty of amps, picks, cables, music stands, footstools and many other musical accessories. All you need to bring with you is your love of music and a desire to learn!

Do you offer any discounts?

YES. Our hourly classes are discounted by 20%. So if you feel you need a little more time to work out your guitar technique in-studio, we got you covered!

Does Gables Guitar host any special events?

YES. All Gables Guitar Students are welcome to participate in guitar recitals which are held twice annually (once in the May and once in December). Recitals are your chance to showcase what you’ve learned by performing a song for your friends, family and other students and musicians that make up the Gables Guitar community.
